About PageMayhem
PageMayhem is an independent fan site about one very specific pleasure: taking a web page and demolishing it.
What we do here
Web page destruction became a genre almost overnight in late September 2026. We started PageMayhem because the information around it was scattered across news articles, app-store listings and half-empty forum threads — and because everyone who tried one of these games immediately asked the same two questions: "which one should I play next?" and "wait, can it actually break the site?"
So we write the pages we wanted to find: clear guides to each game — how to play, what makes it different, honest tips — a hub that compares the whole family, and straight answers about safety, spoilers and what "unblocked" really means. When the genre grows, this site grows with it.
Our rules
- We don't host any games. Every game is played at its developer's own home, and we link there. If a site offers you a "hosted copy" of someone else's game, that's not us, and it shouldn't be trusted.
- We're clearly independent. PageMayhem is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any game or developer we write about. All game names and trademarks belong to their owners.
- No invented facts. Guides are written from the games themselves and public developer information. When something differs from what's here — controls change, a game updates — the correction wins, and you can tell us.
- No dark patterns. No download buttons that install something else, no fake play buttons, no "sign in to play." The genre is a toy; the site should not be a trap.
How we pick what to cover
The genre is small enough that coverage has to be curated rather than exhaustive. A game earns a full guide here when it (a) actually works, (b) is free to play in a browser or as a free add-on, and (c) does something the others don't — a different physics feel, a different way of getting at the page, or a different kind of fun. Fast-follow clone games that are the same thing with a different logo get left out; you'll never find fifteen "top 10" entries here that are really three games and seven cash-ins.
For every guide we play the game on a desktop browser, test the core loop end to end, and note what the official documentation does and doesn't say — then write the page we wished had existed when we started. Where a detail comes from press coverage rather than the game itself (release background, developer history), we say so plainly in the text. Where a game updates and our guide ages, the guide gets corrected rather than quietly abandoned; that's why pages here carry no "last updated" theater — just corrections, as they happen.
What's next for the site
Three things, in order. First, the genre keeps growing — every week seems to bring a new take on page destruction, and each one worth playing gets a guide here. Second, deeper how-to content: comparison pieces, strategy notes, and a proper FAQ that answers the questions people actually search for. Third, and most fun: a small browser toy of our own, built from scratch, so this site eventually offers something to play as well as something to read — an original take on the genre, with no borrowed code and no borrowed assets, released only when it's actually fun. If you know a game we should look at, the contact address below is the fastest way to get it into the queue.
